Ninive Machado is ABD in the Doctoral Program of Sociology, Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil. Her research interests include: poverty, social inequality, class, social policy and morality. Her PhD dissertation explores how beneficiaries from the Brazilian Conditional Cash Transfer Program Programa Bolsa Família build symbolic boundaries and moral judgments among them and with the non-beneficiary population. She is an ALARI Visiting Doctoral Fellow.
